On April 14-16, CSIAM Activity Group on Graph Theory and Combinatorics with Applications host a meeting (i.e. 2017 Luoyang Seminar on Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Algorithm) in the School of Mathematics, Luoyang Normal University. Over 40 scholars from more than 30 universities and institutes attend the meeting, including the 21 activity group members.

The activity group's meeting is held on the morning of April 15. CSIAM secretary general Guiying Yan first introduces CSIAM's history, prizes, the influence at home and abroad, the place in the industry, and future development. Then the meeting determines the members of the activity group, the plans for 2017, and the speakers of the thematic symposium in CSIAM 2017 annual meeting.

From the afternoon of April 15 to April 16, over 40 experts in graph theory and combinatorics, including Prof. Cunquan Zhang from the West Virginia University, report their research respectively. The participants have a discussion on the promotion of graph theory and combinatorics, as well as the possible cooperation between the activity group and enterprises. Some teachers and graduate students in the School of Mathematics take part in the seminar.
