CSIAM Activity Group on Sports Mathematics
Introduction
CSIAM Activity Group on Sports Mathematics is one of the earliest activity groups established by the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM). It mainly focuses on strengthening cooperation, promotion and academic exchange of the application of mathematics and related disciplines (including statistics, computer, mechanics, information, etc.) in sports, sports health and athletic ability. A series of academic activities have been organized, either by the activity group itself, or with international sports engineering, sports mathematics, sports computer-related organizations, as well as with related activity groups in colleges and universities, the China Sports Science Society, the China Simulation Federation, and the Chinese Mathematical Society. A series of international conference proceedings, English academic journals, monographs and teaching materials have been published, including more than 3,000 papers covered by EI, ISTP, and Scopus. A number of science lectures, square promotion and other activities have been carried out. The activity group has also participated in the National Natural Science Funds programs, national science and technology programs, the Olympic research programs, and sports bureau programs.
