Introduction
CSIAM Activity Group on Climate and Environment Mathematics fosters collaboration and interaction among applied mathematicians, climatologists and environmental scientists; it promotes the application of new theory, development, and use of mathematics to climatology and environmental sciences, and solve difficult problems to meet the requirements of our nation; the activity group generalize and extract challenging mathematical problems upon weather forecasts, climate prediction, air pollution forecast and control, and renewable energy exploitation, which are discovered in the engineering application and research. It facilitates climate and environment mathematics as an academic discipline; promotes partnership between international climate and environment interdisciplinary research and our applied mathematics; and develop activities on related science popularization, information dissemination, consulting service and talents identification.
